About Us

Equal Justice Coalition is a Washington non-profit corporation founded in 1984 by Jayne Anderson and other concerned citizens who support equal justice for all citizens before judicial and legislative entities. Her daughter, Victoria Howard Simmons, Vice President and Director, has expanded the scope of its activities to address the disenfranchisement of the States by the 17th Amendment. The current goal is to restore the equality of the States with the Federal government, as created by the Founders in the Constitution in 1789.
J.Jay Feinberg, a retired real estate developer, has joined the Equal Justice Coalition as President and a Director. He is a builder of not just buildings, but of companies and organizations. He graduated from
Washington University in St.Louis, and attended the Harvard Graduate School of Business and Pacific Coast Law School. He served in the U. S. Army as a Green Beret in the 12th Special Forces Group (Airborne).
He has guided EJC to partner with other organizations that share its concern to restore the original concept of Federalism, which established the critical check and balance of the Senators being selected by the State legislatures. This was intended by the Founders to maintain the sovereignty of the States and their control over the Federal government, which has been increasingly out of control since the passage of the 17th Amendment.
